Speaking Conversation

A conversation, not a script.

You talk, an AI tutor talks back, out loud, in real time — a live voice model, not recordings. It picks up where you hesitate, offers a better way to say what you were reaching for, and keeps going.

  • It corrects while you talk

    Each fix is recorded the moment it happens, not saved for the end — so even a call that drops leaves you the “you said → a better way” pairs you had already earned.

  • Captions are on by default

    They are a comprehension aid, not a debug view. The tutor can also push a word or phrase onto your screen mid-sentence when hearing it isn't enough.

  • Metered by the server, not the browser

    Every call has a ceiling — five minutes on Free, ten on Pro, fifteen on Pro+ — and the tutor is asked to start wrapping up two minutes before it. The count comes from the server's own clock rather than anything your browser reports.

Listening Listening Story

A story, then the part you missed.

A story written for your level and narrated one paragraph at a time. There is nothing on screen to read while it plays, then a few questions about what you heard.

  • Nothing to read

    The story's words never reach your browser during the lesson. That's enforced in the code, not politely avoided — otherwise a listening lesson quietly becomes a reading one.

  • A wrong answer replays the exact part that answered it

    Not the whole story — the one paragraph. Its words appear only if you ask for them, after you've had another listen.

  • The bars are the actual audio

    The visualiser reads the narration that's playing, so a dark screen for ninety seconds still shows you something is happening.

Reading aloud Read Aloud

Read out loud, one line at a time.

A short passage with exactly one line in focus and the rest falling away. You read; a coach listens, follows along, and drills the lines that gave you trouble.

  • It never loses your place

    The coach names the line before you read it and marks it good, retry, or skipped after — so the passage becomes a record of the read rather than a score at the end.

  • It won't grade your accent

    The coach is told to report only four things — a word read as a different word, a word skipped, a word added, a clear stumble — and to ask for a re-read rather than guess. No pronunciation score. An accent is not a reading error.

  • The passage comes back marked

    The recap hands you the whole thing again with every line's verdict on it, and a note on each line that gave you trouble.

Writing Writing Studio

Corrections inside your own sentences.

A prompt, a page, and all the time you want. Your draft saves as you type. The reply arrives in order — a remark, your text with the rough edges marked in place, each fix, then one model answer.

  • Marked in place, not listed elsewhere

    Every change is shown as a change: struck-through where a word went, underlined where one arrived. Two sentences side by side is the version a learner skips.

  • Three scores that gate nothing

    Grammar, vocabulary, flow — recorded and shown, never used to lock anything. Someone who found a task hard is exactly the person who should keep going.

  • Come back and it's still there

    Feedback is stored, so reopening a finished lesson re-reads it rather than generating a second, subtly different set of corrections.

What it won't pretend to do.

An AI tutor that is confidently wrong teaches you to distrust it when it is right. So a few things are deliberately out of scope, and you get to know which before you start.

  • No pronunciation score

    The coach reports the words it heard go wrong. It won't grade phonemes or your accent.

  • No level test

    You pick Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. Nothing here re-measures you.

  • No streaks, no daily goals

    Steps, quiz scores and words written are counted. None of them become a streak.

  • Limits, said out loud

    Minutes are metered by the month and shown before you start. Calls and new lessons are capped; minutes do not roll over.

  • English only, for now

    English is what you practise and what the app is written in. A word may be explained in yours — that's the extent of it.
